Collegiate Baseball Scholarships
.png)
All collegiate scholarships aren't created equal. There are two primary scholarship models: head-count and equivalency. The NCAA assigns each sport to a scholarship model.
Baseball is an equivalency sport, meaning it has partial scholarships instead of full-ride scholarships like head-count sports.
YouTube Videos
Former Alabama infielders Cobie Vance and Josh Rutledge discuss the discrepancies the Alabama baseball program faces in being an equivalency sport.
They advocate college baseball players' case for having full-ride scholarships like football and basketball players.
Former Alabama ace Jake Walters and walk-on Allen Dye describe their individual experiences with collegiate baseball scholarships.
They explain how the limited number of scholarships affected their families' financial well-being.
